My name is Amy Wingo. I graduated from Hallsville High School in 1993 and then attended Kilgore College receiving an Associates of Arts. I then graduated from LeTourneau University where I received my BBA and Teacher Certification. This is my eleventh year to teach in White Oak (3 years teaching Special Education Resource K-2 and 7 years teaching kindergarten). I also taught kindergarten for five years and HeadStart for two in Ore City. I have always LOVED children and I absolutely love teaching Resource classes. It is so exciting for me to see the students learn. I love to see the excitement in the children’s eyes when they accomplish the things they have been working SO hard to accomplish!
I have been married to my husband, Alvin, for almost 26 years and we have a daughter named Kelsi. She is a sophomore in college this year and she attends Kilgore Junior College. She is the love of our lives!!! I’m sure your child will hear LOTS of stories about her throughout the year.

I love spending time with my family! We are definitely outdoors people. We love to deer hunt. I might be the only girl you know that doesn’t like to shop. While my friends are shopping…I want to be in the deer stand. 🙂
I do have a little bit of a girly side too…Kelsi and I love pedicures. We go about once a month for a pedicure!
I am excited to be teaching your child this year! Thanks for allowing me the chance to help your kiddo grow!
